FOOTBALL star Anthony Stokes has pleaded guilty to assaulting an Elvis Presley impersonator outside a nightclub in Dublin.

The Dublin-born striker, who plays for Blackburn Rovers, admitted a charge of assault causing harm to Anthony Bradley outside Buck Whaleys nightclub on June 8 2013.

The 27-year-old of Claremont Terrace, Glasgow, will be sentenced on December 20.

The case had been listed to go to trial but Stokes pleaded guilty at an arraignment hearing yesterday/

The player, who has nine caps for the Republic, was released on continuing bail.
