You'll never be as epic as this man running the Dublin marathon dressed as the Eiffel Tower

MARATHONS are hard work, that’s for sure. They involve months of training and even though you might be on a high when you run it, there’s no doubt that it’s a gruelling and painful experience.

So marathons are already tough enough, even when you’re wearing the latest trainers and most breathable Lycra. But how about making it that bit harder and running a marathon dressed as the Eiffel Tower?

Well, that’s exactly what this brave runner did.

Yep, he ran the entire Dublin marathon dressed as the Eiffel Tower. Talk about Parisian pride.

Some people were somewhat bemused by his antics.

But most people just felt some serious respect.

And as if this story couldn’t already get any better, according to local news reports the runner is 70-year-old Frenchman Michel Bach.

Seriously impressive stuff. According to a friend he’s completed the Marathon Des Sables – an ultramarathon in the Sahara Desert – 25 years in a row, to give you more of an idea of how fit this guy is.

And don’t worry, he celebrated his success in the best way possible.
