IT says Christmas like turkey, crackers and midnight Mass.

This year's Late Late Toy Show will be aired in December for the first time in four years.

RTE presenter Ryan Tubridy revealed on Monday that the familiar sight of his eye-catching festive jumper will be hitting your screens on December 2.

The annual televised present extravaganza for little kids and big kids alike is usually aired on the last Friday of November but this year the special-edition of the Late Late Show will be that bit closer to December 25.

"Christmas begins in December, not in November," Tubridy said.

Producers have also decided to take the show on the road again in 2016 after last year was such a success.

"It made it less Dublin-centric and made it more democratic," he said at the launch of RTE's new autumn schedule at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.
