Driver (52) dies after minibus strikes ditch in Co Kerry crash

A 52-year-old man died after the minibus he was driving left the road and struck a ditch, Gardi have confirmed.

His four passengers escaped unharmed in the single vehicle crash which happened at 3.30pm on the N86 between Ballintaggart and Dingle.

He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry where he was pronounced dead later.

Garda forensic collision investigators are at the scene and local traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí have appealed for information.
