A MAN has died and two others were injured after an accident at a building site, gardai said.
The incident occurred during construction works at St Colman's Community College in Midleton, Co Cork, at around 12.30pm.
Initial reports were unclear as to what happened at the site.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the Youghal Road, including ambulance, gardai and fire brigade crews.
The condition of the two injured men was not immediately known.
Both the Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are to launch separate investigations into the accident.
