AN eight-year-old girl has died in a tractor accident on her family farm in Co Mayo.
Gardaí are investigating the accident at the farm near Lismolin in Castlebar at around 5pm on Tuesday.
The girl was taken to Mayo University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out on Wednesday.
The Health and Safety Agency has been informed.
