Video: Donald Trump told Zig and Zag to open holiday resort on Bahamas
Just when you thought Donald Trump's bid for the US presidency couldn't get any more bizarre, footage has emerged of the frontrunner for the Republican candidacy speaking to puppet television personalities Zig and Zag.
The furry extraterrestrial twins sought advice from Trump as they apparently considered buying a holiday camp in the Bahamas.
In the YouTube clip, dated 1998, the property giant says Zig and Zag "should do it" and adds the cost would come in at "maybe £700 million in your world, right?"
Trump goes on to advise the puppets to be careful of "vicious finance people" before offering to come in on the deal for 20 per cent ownership of the project.
The pair offer Trump a revised deal of 50 per cent which they then shake on.
The clip will no doubt be offered up by the Trump campaign as hard evidence of the negotiating skills their candidate would be bringing to the international stage were he to be elected president in November.
