A MAN in his twenties has died in Co Galway after the car in which he was travelling crashed into a wall.
Gardai forensic collision investigators have appealed for witnesses to the crash which happened just before midnight on Wednesday outside the village of Spiddal.
Diversions were put in place as investigatiors continued to examine the scene this morning.
A Garda spokesman said: "Traffic approaching on the R336 from the Galway City direction is being diverted onto the Moycullen to Spiddal Road via Baile An tSagairt and city bound traffic approaching Spiddal from the Inverin direction is being detoured towards Moycullen from Spiddal village."
