HOLLYWOOD legend Joan Collins has spoken of her hopes to make her first-ever movie in Ireland.

The 82-year-old star made the revelation when unveiling a collection of a few of her glamorous gowns at the Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons in Co Kildare.

Collins, who made her name as hard-hearted business woman Alexis in the eighties TV series Dynasty, said the starting date for filming the planned “buddy movie” had already been delayed, but that she was confident it would go ahead.

Describing the film as a “Thelma and Louise for the next generation”, she said its story would centre around friendships between older women.

The film will be called The Time Of Their Lives, with Collins co-starring alongside popular Shirley Valentine actress Pauline Collins.

The energetic octogenarian did not reveal if any potential locations in Ireland had been chosen by the film-makers.

The television and movie actress also took time to pay tribute to Ballymena actor Liam Neeson, describing him as a “good friend” and “very nice man”.

Five-times wed Collins was previously married to the late Irish actor Maxwell Reed.
