Sinn Féin is selling t-shirts with the slogan See Ya Later Alligator in response to DUP leader Arlene Foster's contentious comment about an Irish language act.

Speaking at the launch of her party's election campaign last week Ms Foster said the DUP would never agree to an Irish language act, adding "If you feed a crocodile it will keep coming back for more".

Afterwards Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams quipped "See you later alligator".

In the aftermath protesters dressed as crocodiles and holding signs calling for an Irish language act to be implemented have gathered outside DUP offices and the High Court in Belfast.

The t-shirts cost €20 and are available in Sinn Féin's online shop.
