The deaths of two further patients who had previously tested positive for Covid-19 have been recorded by the Department of Health.

It takes the total number of deaths to 3,429.

Another 288 positive cases of the virus were recorded in the last 24-hour period.

This morning, there were 254 Covid-positive patients in hospital, of whom two were in intensive care with none on a ventilator.

The north's hospitals are ovver capacity by 140 beds.
