A 36-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping, threats to kill and assault after an incident in Newcastle, Co Down, in which a man was doused in petrol during an attempted robbery.
It happened in King Street at around 9pm on Sunday April 24 and the victim was taken to a car park in Annalong.
The 36-year-old man is due to appear at Newry Magistrates Court on May 23.
A 31-year-old man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
