Police have opened a dedicated online site to gather pictures and footage of Easter Monday’s dissident republican commemoration in Derry.

Eight men were arrested following the march which was led by a masked colour party despite a Parades’ Commission ruling that no paramilitary-style clothing was to be worn.

Police came under petrol bomb attack at the entrance to Derry city cemetery following the commemoration which coincided with the third anniversary of the New IRA murder of journalist Lyra McKee.

Seven of the men arrested, under the Terrorism Act, were subsequently released pending reports to the Public Prosecution Service. The eighth man, arrested for public order offences, was charged to appear at court next month.

A PSNI spokesman said photographs and footage, including “from mobile phones and dash cams” could be uploaded to the Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) at https://mipp.police.uk/operation/PSNI22R10-PO1.

“Our investigation into offences committed ruing Monday’s parade will continue over the coming days and weeks as we work to bring offence’s to justice and we would ask anyone with information which may help our investigation to use the MIPP,” the spokesman said.
