Another five people have died after contracting Covid-19, the Department of Health has confirmed.

It takes the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,077.

There were 5,023 cases recorded in the latest 24-hour reporting period.

In hospitals, 21 patients in intensive care have tested positive for Covid-19. Of these, 18 are on ventilation.
