Glens of Antrim man Feargal Lynn has received a letter with his biography rather than his address on the front of the envelope.

Among the details listed were his parents' names and a descrption of where he used to live, plus 'used to run discos in the parochial hall and the hotel in the 80s' and 'friends with the fella runs the butchers in Waterfoot'.

Mr Lynn said the letter was from a friend he had bumped into last summer who thought it would be entertaining to set the postman a challenge.

My Lynn had written to the friend as part of a personal mission in 2021 to resume handwritten correspondence "to distract from the day to day stresses of working through a pandemic".

"I knew she was a vegetarian, an excellent cook, and I wrote and said 'tell me something about coleslaw'," he said.

"I didn't put my address on it, she doesn't know where I live but she knows where I used to live and I suppose she could have got my address by contacting friends of friends but to cheer everyone up, to give me a laugh and the post people a laugh and to provide a bit of entertainment she put my biography on an envelope.

"I said to my wife 'I want that on my headstone when I go' because it sums up my youth perfectly."

And the contents of the return letter?
