A restaurant in Derry has been damaged after a fire broke out in its kitchen.

Fire crews attended Link 48 restaurant at Foyle Golf Centre at Culmore on the northern outskirts of the city shortly after 4pm yesterday.

A spokeswoman said the blaze broke out in the kitchen of the premises at Alder Road.

It is the second restaurant fire in the city. On Monday Fitzroy’s was forced to close after it was extensively damaged in an early morning fire.
