Police in Newtownards are appealing for information following a crash involving a motorcycle and two cars on Wednesday on the Bangor Road.

Inspector Jamieson said: “A report was received of a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and two cars at 3.35pm.



“Police attended the scene together with colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, and diversions were in place whilst they dealt with the incident.



“Damage was caused to all three vehicles, and the motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries believed to be serious.



“Two females who had been travelling in one of the vehicles were both left shaken as a result of the incident, with the female passenger sustaining minor cuts.



“Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, or has dash cam footage, to contact 101, quoting reference number 1245 of 25/08/21.”
