Thousands of music lovers are expected in west Belfast tomorrow night for Féile an Phobail's Back to the 80s event.

Billed as the biggest concert in Ireland since March 2020, the event, which is taking place in the Falls Park, will see performances by Katrina from Katrina and the Waves, ABBA tribute band, Waterloo and eighties tribute band, Party Fears Three.

Kevin Gamble, Director of Féile an Phobail, said: "We have already had two major events at this year’s Féile, the Michael Conlan fight night and the Diversionary Music Night, and now we are looking forward to what will be the biggest concert in Ireland since March 2020.

"It is going to be one of those special Féile nights, and people will be able to come along and enjoy a fantastic night in our outdoor concert venue with doors opening at 6pm," he said.

Mr Gamble reminded all ticket holders that they "need to present their Covid-19 status to gain entry".

This can be proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test, taken no more than 48 hours prior to arrival at the event, proof of natural Covid antibodies, based upon a positive NHS PCR test, or proof of double vaccination, with the second dose at least 14 days prior to the event.

"Féile an Phobail will continue to do everything we can to ensure Covid safe environments at our events," he said.
