A series of events have been organised to mark the 105th anniversary of the execution of Roger Casement on August 3.

Casement was executed in an English prison for his part in planning the Easter Rising in 1916.

To mark the occasion Casement Park Social Club will be holding a series of events today and tomorrow.

Wreaths will be laid at six locations across Ireland and England associated with the 1916 leader including at the gates of Casement Park Social Club in west Belfast at 9.45am today after a short procession, which will be led by a piper.

A tribute will also be laid at Murlough Bay Co Antrim at midday tomorrow, where he wanted his remains to be laid to rest.
