Boy (15) arrested after 14-year-old boy assaulted in Derry

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent after a 14-year-old boy was attacked in Derry early this morning.

The victim suffered head injuries in an attack which was carried out in the Clon Elagh area of the city.

Police said that shortly after midnight, it was reported that two males were causing damage to the front door of a property in the area. When officers arrived they were alerted to the attack on a 14-year-old boy who was taken to hospital.
