Man (21) in court on three charges related to Derry rioting

A MAN has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court charged in connection with the rioting in loyalist areas at the end of March.

Tyler Riddles (21) of Stevenson Park in Tullyally outside Derry faced a total of three charges yesterday.

He is charged with riotous assembly on March 31, throwing a petrol bomb on the same date and a charge of possessing a petrol bomb again on the same date.

A police officer connected the defendant to the charges and a six week adjournment was requested by the prosecution.

Mr Riddles will appear again on September 2.
