TWO men were arrested after police seized drugs and cash during searches in the mid Ulster area.

Officers from the PSNI's Organised Crime Unit seized suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of around £8,500 as well as £12,500 in cash and just over €8,000.

Equipment used in the cultivation of Class B drugs was also taken.

Detective Inspector Aubrey Shaw said: "The arrests and seizures were the result of searches carried out this morning in the mid Ulster area, namely Moy, Armagh and Dungannon.

"The searches were carried out as part of an investigation into suspected drugs criminality in these areas.

"A 30-year-old man was arrested following a search in Moy, and a 32-year-old man was arrested following a search in Armagh.

"Both men were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, and possession of criminal property."
