Line of Duty fans appear to be taking fashion advice from DS Steve Arnott as Google searches for waistcoats jumped by almost a quarter after the latest series began airing.

The hit show, now in its sixth series, has received record ratings as viewers tune in to see who will be unveiled as the criminal mastermind known as 'H'.

DS Arnott, played by Scottish actor Martin Compston, has been a key character since the show about the AC-12 anti-corruption unit began.

Arnott is known for his sharp dress sense, particularly his trademark waistcoats.
