Police hunt blue Ford Fiesta after woman injured in Ballymena hit-and-run

A 29-year-old woman is recovering in hospital following a hit-and-run in Ballymena.

The woman was struck by a car on Woodtown Road in the Co Antrim town at around 8.40am on Tuesday.

Police said a blue Ford Fiesta may have been involved in the crash.

Sergeant Jock McToal said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this collision, and exactly what occurred".

He asked anyone with dash cam footage or who saw a blue Ford Fiesta on any of the following roads from 8am on Tuesday to contact police on 101: Edenbane Road, between Garvagh and Kilrea; Bann Road and Craigs Road, between Kilrea and Cullybackey, and Ballymena Road and Cullybackey Road between Cullybackey and Ballymena.
