CROWDS of Rangers fans gathered on the Black Mountain in Belfast yesterday morning, in breach of coronavirus restrictions.

Supporters congregated ahead of an Old Firm match against Celtic, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the video, which was circulated online, fans, many with scarves covering their faces, could be heard singing in support of the club.

A fortnight ago there was criticism after crowds took to Belfast’s Shankill Road after Rangers won the Scottish Premiership - the Glasgow side’s first title in a decade.

Meanwhile, police also warned yesterday of a build-up of traffic and visitors in the Mournes, in particular on the approach roads into the area from the main Newcastle to Kilkeel road.

The PSNI said they were also aware of parking issues in a number of areas, including Silent Valley.

They said officers were in the area, engaging with members of the public and reminding them of the need to abide by social distancing and staying within bubbles.

They added they would "enforce" the regulations if necessary.
