ALMOST 3,000 individuals and groups have shown solidarity with Belfast Multi-Cultural Association (BMCA) - giving more than £72,000 in donations.

The money was handed over today, which marked a month from the arson attack which saw its food bank on Donegall Pass gutted in what police have labelled a "hate crime".

Muhammad Atif of BMCA said it will "come back stronger than ever to help the communities with whom we work", saying they are grateful for the "outpouring of love" which was handed over by fundraiser Patrick Corrigan of Amnesty International.
