Two people were taken to hospital last night after a collision involving a car and a scrambler in west Belfast.

The collision took place in the Andersonstown Road area just before 5.30pm yesterday.

It is understood the injuries are not life threatening and the road around the accident scene was later reopened by police.

Full details of the collision were not clear last night.

Local Sinn Féin councillor Aíne McCabe questioned whether scramblers should be on the road and urged parents to take control.
