VANDALS have smashed the windows of a GAA club in west Belfast in an attack branded "disgusting".

The windows of a clubroom at O'Donovan Rossa on the Shaws Road were broken between 11am on Saturday and 12.30am yesterday.

Police said they are investigating the criminal damage.

Greater Andersonstown Safer Neighbourhoods Partnership branded the attack as "disgusting".

"This club provides a great service to our community and hundreds of kids and adults use the facilities," the group said.

It asked shop owners or residents with CCTV cameras in the area to check their footage from Saturday and Sunday.
