PORTRAITS of executive ministers painted by primary school pupils have been showcased online by Peter Weir.

The education minister was shown the colourful display during a visit to St Brigid's PS in Mayogall near Maghera.

Mr Weir was given a tour of the Co Derry school and discussed issues including minor works and accommodation.

He stopped to pose for a photograph next to his portrait, one of several painted by P7 children.

Councillor Sean McPeake was also included on the poster alongside Stormont ministers.

Mr Weir shared the poster on Twitter and joked: "Suffice to say some of us come out better than others."
