TWO guns have been found by police in Coleraine investigating the shooting of a vulnerable woman in her home and the attempted murder of a man in his thirties.

The guns were discovered in Greenhall Highway in the town on Wednesday and detectives are investigating if they were used in the attacks.

Sally Cummings (61) was shot in the head as she slept in a chair in the living room of her home on Bushmills Road on October 5.

A gang of three men had fired more than 10 shots at the house and police have said members of the North Antrim UDA were responsible.

On Tuesday, a man in his thirties was also injured when two shots were fired through the front door of his house in Churchlands Road in Coleraine.

The PSNI has appealed to anyone with information to contact them.

Police said they particularly want to speak to driver of a red car which was in Drumard Drive in Coleraine at around 10.30pm on Tuesday.
