A man who had been wanted by police for more than two years has been found hiding in a roofspace.

He was discovered during a house search by the PSNI's South Belfast Neighbourhood Policing team in the Donegall Road area yesterday.

Police arrested one man on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

"A check of the roof space turned up something interesting also," a spokesman said.

"A male who had been wanted by police for over two years was located hiding up above.

"He was also arrested for possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply along with two bench warrants, meaning he had failed to appear in court when he was supposed to.

"Police will soon be posting new images of people on their Facebook pages in relation to wanted persons - come to us before we come looking you and before your face and name goes up on the big screen."
