POLICE are investigating a suspected petrol bomb attack in Co Antrim.

A woman and a boy were who were in the property at Schomberg Court in Carrickfergus escaped injury when a device was thrown at around 9.10pm on Tuesday.

Damage was caused to a window and the front of the property.

Both police and the fire service attended the scene.

A spokesman for the PSNI said: "We believe this was a petrol bomb attack and we are working to establish a motive for this reckless act.”
