A CO Armagh family has been dealt another tragic blow after losing a second son within five years

The funeral is due to take place tomorrow of Glenn McKeown, who died suddenly in Amsterdam.

Mr McKeown, who was aged in his early twenties and from Craigavon, died last Friday.

It is understood he had been visiting the Netherlands' capital city with some friends.

His death comes just under five years since the loss of his brother Declan, who died suddenly at home in Craigavon in November 2015.

Their only remaining sibling, Patrick McKeown, expressed his grief in a heartfelt online tribute to his younger brother.

"Never in my life did I think I'd have to write up a post in memory for one brother, but now two," he wrote on Facebook.

"Due to the age gap we weren't always as close but once you were old enough we grew a bond that could never be broken.

"After Declan I wanted to make it my life's mission to look after you and try to give you some sort of guidance. I thought I was doing okay.

"From you turned 18 three years ago, we made memories that some could never make possible and I'm grateful for that."

He added: "You've left a hole in a lot of hearts, three beautiful nieces and a nephew who adored you.

"This is not goodbye – it's see you later. Love and miss you loads."

Mr McKeown is also survived by his parents Margo and Sean, sister-in-law Joanne and girlfriend Rachel.

His body was brought home with the assistance of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

His Requiem Mass will take place tomorrow at 11.30am at St Anthony's Church, with burial afterwards in St John's Cemetery, Lylo.

Mr McKeown was a past pupil of Lismore Comprehensive School and worked at manufacturing firm Thompson Aero Seating, according to his Facebook page.

SDLP Craigavon councillor Thomas Larkham expressed his sympathies.

"Obviously the community of Craigavon are deeply shocked. This was clearly a very popular young man who clearly had a lot of time for everybody," he said.

"From speaking to others, he wouldn't have passed you in the street without saying hello – he was a very popular and well-liked young man.

"My thoughts and condolences go out to his parents Margo and Sean and the wider McKeown family."
