Woman arrested over death of Natasha Melendez following Lisburn assault

Police investigating the murder of Natasha Melendez, who died in hospital following a serious assault at a house in Lisburn, have arrested a 23-year-old woman.

Ms Melendez, a 32-year-old Venezuelan national, died in hospital on April 1 after being subjected to the assault at a house in Finch Gardens on March 22.

Police said the woman who was arrested has been released pending a report to the PPS on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and withholding information concerning a serious arrestable offence.
