Three men arrested on suspicion of drug-related offences following aggravated burglary in west Belfast

Two men aged 24 and a third man aged 26 who were arrested on suspicion of a number of drug related offences following an incident in west Belfast, last night remained in police custody. The arrests followed an aggravated burglary in west Belfast on Tuesday night

THREE men were arrested on suspicion of drug-related offences following an aggravated burglary in west Belfast.

Police received a report at around 9.40pm on Tuesday that a number of masked men, armed with batons and baseball bats, forced their way into a house in the Springfield Road area.

Detective Sergeant Eric Fairfield said yesterday: "A male occupant who was in the property at the time managed to escape the intruders, He suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

"Two men aged 24 and a third man aged 26 were arrested on suspicion of a number of drug related offences, they are currently in custody".
