Man (40) dies after road crash outside Bangor

A MAN seriously injured last month in a two-vehicle road crash has died.

Kenny Wharton (40), originally from the Bangor area, was caught up in the collision on May 24 on Green Road, Conlig.

He was taken to hospital but died on Thursday, police confirmed.

The crash happened shortly before 7.30pm at the junction of Rowanvale and Six Road Ends.

It involved a grey Vauxhall Insignia and silver Vauxhall Zafira.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

They urged anyone with information to phone 101, quoting reference number 1449 24/05/20.
