Man charged with murder following discovery of body in north Belfast

A 34-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a body in north Belfast.

The victim was found at a house on Oakley Street in the Ballysillan area shortly before 11pm on Saturday.

The accused is due to appear before Belfast Magistrate's Court today.

Chief Inspector Darren McCartney said police were treating the discovery as murder after the results of a post-mortem examination.

A man was arrested at the weekend following the fatal incident.
