THE once-a-day walks for people in lockdown around one part of Belfast have been brightened up by colourful chalk designs supporting frontline workers and educating passers-by about local flora.

One house in North Queen Street on the edge of New Lodge in the north of the city has been transformed into a brick rainbow.

Siblings Jaida and Kenzie McVarnok decorated the outside of their home in chalk rainbow colours in support of the frontline workers.

Meanwhile, the diverse foliage along Somerton Road and Fortwilliam Park has been helpfully labelled by chalked names of trees and bushes on the pavement.
