Five arrested after car chase following north Belfast 'creeper style' burglary

Police investigating a creeper style burglary in the Premier Drive area of north Belfast this morning have arrested three men and two women.

The silver Toyota Corolla was stolen at around 4.50 am this morning.

Detective Sergeant Arnott said: “We received a report that the vehicle had been spotted in the Rathcoole area of Newtownabbey this afternoon, a short time later the vehicle failed to stop for officers and an authorised pursuit was initiated.

“The car was reported to have collided with two vehicles before it came to a halt in the Antrim Road area this afternoon.

“Three men, aged 30, 28,  and 25 were arrested on suspicion of burglary and motoring offences.

“A 29 year old woman and a 24 year old woman were arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking in which the vehicle is driven dangerously.

“All five are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

“We are continuing to appeal to anyone with any information to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 397 13/04/20.”
