Elderly woman 'shaken' after south Belfast burglary

A WOMAN in her seventies was left shaken after discovering an intruder in her home in south Belfast.

They fled after being disturbed by the resident at Knock Eden Crescent at about 8.30pm on Monday.

Detective Constable Glenn Taylor said: "The householder heard noises in her home and footsteps on her stairs and called out, prompting the suspect to flee.

"At this time it isn't known if anything was taken.

"The householder was left shaken but was not injured."

Detectives appealed for anyone with information which could be relevant to the burglary to phone 101 quoting reference 1264 23/03/20 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
