Police searches in west Belfast as part of money laundering investigation

SEARCHES have been carried out by police at several premises in west Belfast in relation to an investigation into money laundering.

The PSNI's Economic Crimes Unit carried out four searches in the Springfield Road and Andersonstown Road areas yesterday.

Detective Inspector Stephen Murray said: “A number of items were seized and taken away for further examinations, as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into money laundering.

"In total, four premises in the Springfield Road and Andersonstown Roads area were searched by officers."
