Man (59) dies in two-vehicle crash in Dunloy

Desmond Wilson (59) died in a crash in Dunloy, Co Antrim, yesterday morning

A 59-year-old man has died after a two-vehicle crash in Co Antrim.

Desmond Wilson, from Ballymoney, died in the collision on Garryduff Road in Dunloy just before 7.35am yesterday.

Mr Wilson was the driver of a Peugeot 2008 which collided with a white Citreon Berlingo van.

A police spokesman said the male driver of the Citroen Berlingo was taken to hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The Garryduff Road was closed for several hours after the crash but re-opened yesterday afternoon.
