Suspicious device found in Crumlin security alert

A suspicious device was found during a security alert in Co Antrim.

The device was discovered on Lurgan Road, close to the junction of Maple Park, at around 8.05pm yesterday.

Several homes were evacuated during the alert.

Police and army bomb disposal experts attended the scene.

The device was taken away for further examination and residents were allowed to return to their homes.

Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact them on 101.
