A man who died suddenly in Co Armagh yesterday has been named locally as Terry Hill.

Mr Hill (67) was found dead at a house at Victoria Street in Lurgan in the early hours.

A man who was arrested as part of the police investigation was later released on police bail.

A post mortem was due to be held to establish the cause of death.

SDLP assembly member for Upper Bann Dolores Kelly last night offered her sympathies to the dead man’s family.

“This is a very tragic loss of life,” she said.

“I want to express my condolences to the family and friends of the dead man.”

Local Sinn Féin councillor Keith Haughian said: “I wish to express sympathy to the family of the deceased.

“This is a very difficult time for them and our thoughts and prayers are with them.”

Police last night said they were investigating the circumstances of the “sudden death”.
