Men armed with knives threaten worker during robbery in Cookstown

MEN armed with knives threatened a worker during a robbery at a shop in Co Tyrone.

It happened shortly after 10.10pm on Friday as the staff member was closing the business on Drumenny Road in Cookstown.

Police said: "Two men with their faces covered approached the property. Both men were armed with knives and demanded money from the staff member.

"The men then made off with a sum of money, leaving the staff member uninjured but badly shaken."

Police appealed for anyone with information to contact officers on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
