A 57-year-old man is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court next month charged with drug offences.
The man, who is due in court on December 12, has been charged with possession of a Class B drug and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.
It is understood the charges relate to an incident in east Belfast last night when a car was stopped and searched on the Beersbridge Road.
A man was arrested after a quantity of Class B drugs - with an estimated street value of £60,000 - was recovered from the vehicle.
A subsequent search of a property in the Dundonald area was carried out and a quantity of cash was recovered.
The operation was conducted in relation a police investigation into the criminal activities of the East Belfast UVF.
