A TEENAGER was arrested after a woman was injured in a suspected hit-and-run in Co Antrim.

The woman was found lying at the junction of the Ballybollen Road and Glebe Road in Ahoghill around 10.40pm on Friday.

The victim, aged in her 20s, was taken to hospital with injuries to her legs and face.

An 18-year-old man who was arrested was later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Peter Crothers said police wish to speak to anyone who saw two cars - a grey Volkswagen Golf and a grey Vauxhall Corsa - travelling together from the cinema car park on Larne Road Link in Ballymena towards Ahoghill, between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Friday night.
