AN engagement ring was among jewellery stolen during a burglary in Derry.

The platinum ring, which had four diamonds, was taken after entry was forced to a house at Culmore Point Road between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Friday.

Money was also taken.

A police spokesperson appealed for information, saying: “This has been a distressing experience for the victim, especially with the loss of such a sentimental piece of jewellery."
