A 30-YEAR-old man was treated in hospital for "a large cut to his head" after he was assaulted by a group of men in north Belfast.

The assault happened close to Atlantic Avenue on Antrim Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The suspects are believed to have made off in the direction of Cavehill Road.
