WESTLIFE have announced a one-off concert at London's Wembley Stadium next year.

The hugely popular Irish four piece - Nicky Byrne (40) Kian Egan (39), Mark Feehily (39) and Shane Filan (40) - will headline at the venue for the first time ever.

The announcement comes just months after the band finished a series of reunion concerts.

Formed in Dublin in 1999, the band won legions of fans around the world with their upbeat hits and emotional love songs.

In 2004, Brian McFadden left the original line-up leaving four members.

In 2012, hearts were broken worldwide when the band announced they were splitting up.

In October, they announced details of a reunion tour.

Today they announced they are to return to the stage next year for a "once-in-a-lifetime" gig at Wembley Stadium.

Speaking about the show, the boys said: "Headlining Wembley Stadium is a dream come true for all of us. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we’re incredibly excited for a show which will be different and more spectacular."

The show, which will take place on August 22, will follow the arrival of band member Mark Feehily's first child.
